Leasing for New Start-up Businesses
A newly incorporated business shouldn't be held back by a lack of trading history — our underwriters look at the whole picture, not just the accounts.
- Open to limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and more
- Business car subscriptions from 1 month, best rates from 90 days
- Short-term car and van leases available on qualifying applications
- Underwriters assess directors as well as the business itself
- Decisions typically within 2–48 hours once documents are received
Newly formed businesses often find vehicle leasing difficult to obtain, simply because there's no trading history yet to point to. We've helped hundreds of start-ups get moving using our short-term car and van leasing fleet and subscription range, with our underwriters assessing both the business and its directors to keep risk manageable.
Limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, LLPs, PLCs, charities, embassies and VAT-registered businesses can all apply. As a minimum we'll ask for the signing director's driving licence and a recent utility bill, plus 3 months of business bank statements — additional information or a refundable deposit may be requested depending on your circumstances.
From business car subscriptions and short-term leases through to van subscriptions and short-term van leases, we can usually find a route to getting your new business on the road.

Frequently Asked Questions
What documents will I need?
As a minimum: the signing director's driving licence, a utility bill dated within 3 months, and 3 months of business bank statements. Mobile phone or Sky bills are not accepted as proof of address.
Will I need a personal guarantee?
This depends on the underwriters' assessment — a director's guarantee may be requested for higher-value vehicles or where trading history is limited.
How many vehicles can a new business take?
This depends on the credit limit set by our underwriters, who may also restrict the number of vehicles held at any one time.
